1. Controller. PixelStoryDesign, registered at Zollstraße 54, 28757 Bremen, Germany, is the data controller for personal data processed through pixelstorydesign.com and related communications. Contact: [email protected].

2. What we collect. When you submit an inquiry, book a demo, or subscribe to updates, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, project notes, and any other information you voluntarily provide. We also collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device category, and pages visited for security and analytics purposes.

3. Purposes and legal bases (Art. 6 GDPR). We process data to respond to inquiries (legitimate interest / pre-contractual steps), to perform design and development contracts (contract performance), to send service messages (legitimate interest), and — only with your consent — to send marketing communications. We process payment details through our payment provider; PixelStoryDesign does not store full card numbers.

4. Sharing. Data is shared only with processors acting on our instructions (hosting, email, analytics, payment) under data-processing agreements, or where required by law. We do not sell personal information.

5. Retention. Inquiry records are retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact unless a longer period is required for tax, accounting, or legal obligations. Contract documents are retained per statutory commercial retention periods (typically 6–10 years in Germany).

6. Your rights. Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (for us: the competent authority of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen).

7. International transfers. Where processors operate outside the EEA, transfers are safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms as required by Art. 46 GDPR.

8. CCPA / CPRA notice (California). California residents may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. PixelStoryDesign does not sell personal information. To exercise CCPA rights, email [email protected] with the subject “CCPA Request”. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

9. Children. Our services are directed to businesses and are not intended for children under 16.

10. Changes. We may update this policy and will revise the date above. Material changes will be announced on this page.

1. Scope. These Terms govern services provided by PixelStoryDesign, Zollstraße 54, 28757 Bremen, Germany (“Studio”, “we”), including web design, layout systems, accessibility audits, microsites, CMS migrations, and related consulting. Conflicts are resolved by the individual statement of work or order confirmation; otherwise these Terms apply.

2. Formation. A contract is formed when we confirm your project or you pay an invoice or deposit. Quotations are valid 14 days unless stated otherwise.

3. Scope, cooperation, delays. Deliverables, timelines, and revision rounds are those listed on the service row or order. You will provide content, assets, and feedback within agreed windows; delays in feedback extend delivery dates day for day. Reasonable changes of scope may adjust price and schedule by mutual written agreement.

4. Fees & payment. Prices are net of VAT where applicable. Invoices are due within 14 days of receipt unless agreed otherwise. Payment may be made via the payment link we provide. Late payments may accrue statutory default interest and collection costs. Retainers are billed monthly in advance and cancel with 30 days’ notice at the end of a billing period.

5. Intellectual property. Upon full payment, you receive the agreed usage or transfer rights in final client-specific deliverables (layouts, designs, and code created for you). Pre-existing tools, libraries, and studio design systems remain ours; we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use them as part of the deliverables. Third-party assets remain under their respective licenses.

6. Client materials. You warrant that text, images, and brands you supply do not infringe third-party rights, and you indemnify us against such claims.

7. Warranty & liability. We warrant that services are performed with professional care. For material defects, we will cure within a reasonable time. For damages (including delay), we are liable in cases of intent and gross negligence, and — subject to mandatory product liability — otherwise capped at the fee paid for the affected service, except for injury to life, body, or health. Statutory rights of consumers are not limited by this clause.

8. Termination. Either party may terminate for material breach with 14 days’ cure period. On termination, you pay for work performed up to the termination date. Provisions that by nature survive (payment, IP, liability, confidentiality) remain in effect.

9. Confidentiality. Each party keeps non-public project information confidential for 3 years after the engagement ends.

10. Governing law & forum. German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a merchant under German law, the place of jurisdiction is Bremen. Consumers may sue in their habitual residence. The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is no longer operational for new submissions; we prefer direct resolution via [email protected].

1. What cookies are. Cookies and similar technologies are small files stored on your device when you visit pixelstorydesign.com. They help pages remember choices and measure basic usage.

2. Strictly necessary cookies. We store a small preference flag in your browser’s local storage (for example, that you dismissed our cookie notice) so the banner does not reappear on every visit. These items are essential to deliver the site and do not track you across other websites.

3. Functional cookies. Used to remember interface preferences such as expanded accordion sections during your session. Disabling them may reset these preferences each visit.

4. Analytics cookies. If enabled, aggregated analytics cookies help us understand which service pages are useful (e.g., which accordion rows open most). Analytics data is pseudonymized and never used to build advertising profiles. Where required, analytics runs only after your consent.

5. Marketing cookies. We do not set third-party advertising cookies on this site. Payment and map embeds load only when you interact with them; those providers may set their own technical cookies under their policies.

6. Managing cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking strictly necessary items may affect basic functionality such as remembering your cookie choice.

7. EEA / UK consent. For non-essential cookies we request consent in line with the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR; you may withdraw consent by clearing site data in your browser or contacting [email protected].

8. CCPA. Cookie-related identifiers may qualify as personal information under the CCPA. California residents may exercise access and deletion rights regarding such identifiers by contacting us as described in our Privacy Policy.

1. General rule. Digital design and development services are custom work. Once a paid phase (discovery, design, or build) has started, that phase’s fee is non-refundable because the value is delivered through planning and production time, not a tangible good.

2. Deposits & prepayments. Deposits paid via our payment link reserve studio capacity. If you cancel before work begins, we refund the deposit minus any non-recoverable third-party costs (e.g., licensed fonts, stock imagery, transaction fees). If you cancel after work has begun, we retain payment for work completed to the cancellation date and refund the unused remainder of prepaid fees within 14 business days.

3. Milestone billing. Completed milestones are invoiced and non-refundable. Upcoming unpaid milestones simply lapse on cancellation.

4. Retainers. Monthly care plans are billed in advance for the coming period. You may cancel before the next billing date; the current period remains active and is not partially refunded. Unused hours do not roll over unless agreed in writing.

5. Defective delivery. If a deliverable materially deviates from the agreed specification, notify us within 14 days of delivery. We will cure the defect within a reasonable time. If cure fails and the defect is substantial, you may reduce the price or — where the defect makes the service worthless to you — withdraw from that phase and receive a refund for the unremedied portion.

6. Statutory withdrawal (EU consumers). If you are a consumer with a mandatory right of withdrawal (14 days under EU distance-selling rules), you may withdraw within 14 days of contract formation. If you requested that services begin before the withdrawal period ends, you owe a prorated amount for services already provided up to the moment you notified us of withdrawal. Digital content delivered with your express prior consent and acknowledgment of losing the withdrawal right is excluded from withdrawal once delivery begins.

7. Chargebacks. Please contact [email protected] before initiating a chargeback; most billing issues are resolved within one business day.

8. How to request a refund. Email [email protected] from your account email with the subject “Refund Request”, your invoice or payment reference, and a short description. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 business days.
